In 2012, Janice Jakait crossed the Atlantic form Portugal to Barbados with a seaworthy rowboat within 90 days. Her project is not only concerned with finding herself but also with drawing attention to the harmful noise for marine animals resulting from container ships.
In 2013, Janice Jakait is planning a new Pacific crossing project – however, not in a rowboat again. Whether sailing, kiting or another way for crossing the ocean is not yet confirmed. Anyway, the basic idea of the campaign remains the same.
