Apr 14 2014

The Cannes Yacht Club will host more than 350 children and as many Optimist boats, from 20 to 25 April, to contest the CIP (Coupe Internationale de Printemps).

The Cannes Yacht Club has a particularly busy calendar 2014. After the International Finn Week and the Dragon Grand Prix last February, the Cannes Yacht Club will call up hundreds of volunteers to support one of its major event of the year : the CIP (Coupe Internationale de Printemps d'Optimist).

This little sailing boat, on which many sailors have taken their first runs, attracts each year new fans keen to discover the joys of sailing. The number of registered boats to compete for the CIP is a proof of its success as more than 350 children, and as many optimist boats and parents, will be hosted on the Pointe Croisette in Cannes during the event. The CIP is the most important Optimist competition taking place on the French coast as the young sailors will attempt to qualify for the European and World Championships.

As the official supplier of the Cannes Yacht Club and its major events, Marinepool is proud to support the promotion of young sailing talents.
