Kick-off of the race season with the Spi Ouest France

For over 30 years, the Spi Ouest France launches the regatta season on the Easter week-end with the gathering of nearly 500 boats in La Trinité-sur-Mer in Brittany, France. From 18 to 21 April, 3000 sailors divided in more than 15 boat classes will compete in the middle of the Bay of Quiberon, renowned fort its exceptional sailing conditions.

The Spi Ouest France, which will celebrate its 36th edition, still generates the same enthusiasm for thousand of sailors coming from all over the country and beyond. This competition kicks off the upcoming race season in France. For many amateur crews, it represents a unique opportunity to compete against the best professional sailors.

Daniel Souben and his crew Courrier Dunkerque as well as Sidney Gavignet onboard Omansail will participate in the race in the M34 category. Loick Peyron, a leading figure in the world of sailing and founder of the Energy Team project for the 34th America´s Cup, will also try to reach a podium position in Open 7.50. Theses crews, supported by Marinepool and present at the start line of the biggest competitions, have every reason to be among the favorites in their categories.
