Freediver and holder of several world records Christian REDL added another world record to his score! On Saturday, 12:42 local time Redl emerged from under the ice of the Austrian lake Weißensee after diving for a distance of 100m by only holding his breath. Hundreds of spectators, sport fans and press were greeting him after his successful attempt, which earns him another entry in the history books of free diving.
With only one deep breath - and after month of intensive training - Redl mastered the distance of 100m in one minute and 12 seconds under the massive ice cover of the Carinthian lake and at water temperatures of only 2°C.
Congratulations!
