The SNSM record will celebrate its 10th anniversary, from 19 to 24 June 2014

For 10 years, many professional skippers have been taken part in the SNSM record to support the French sea rescue organization during an annual race that takes place in Saint-Nazaire. The SNSM is a non-profit organization tasked with saving lives on French waters and serviced by 7500 volunteers.

The race will bring together nearly 500 competitors onboard 50 boats and 120 skiffs like canoe-kayak, paddle etc. The Class 40 fleet will start a 1000 miles journey between France, England and Spain. This competition will serve as qualifying race for the upcoming Route du Rhum - main sailing event this year in France and beyond.

Damien Seguin, supported by Marinepool for many years onboard ERDF-Des Pieds et des Mains, will take the opportunity to demonstrate his potential in similar conditions as for the Route du Rhum : offshore and solo. Fabrice Amédéo, who has been equipped by Marinepool since the Transat Jacques Vabre last year, will be also on the start line of this trial race.
