Marinepool Racing Team starts well into Laser Euro 2010 off Tallinn, EST

Simon Grotelüschen (GER) got the best start of all members of the Marinepool Racing Team, ranking 10th after the first day of the Laser European Championship off Tallinn, ESt. With a 6th and a 7th in the first two races Simon has every reason to be satisfied with his performance and will go with great self confidence into the coming races.

His team mate Malte Kamrath (GER) is not far behind. He also showed class with a 13th and a 5th in the first two races of the championship, which put him in 18th place.

Andreas Geritzer from Austria currently ranks only 20th. He had a slow start into the Europeans with a 16th in the opening race but showed that he is aiming for a top spot with a 4th in race two.

Double junior world champion, Cypriot Pavlos Kontides, had a good start with an 8th but a black flag disqualification in race two threw him far back in the rankings. The game is fully on for him, he cannot allow himself any more mistakes in the regatta and has to use the BDF as a discard.

In the Laser Radial the German girls were doing well. Constanze Stolz is the best German girl so far on 28. Franzi Goltz and Anke Helbig are ranked on 44 and 45 respectively after day 1.

Out Greek team member, Maria Vlachou was struggling the first day. With a 34th and a 15th she is currently in 50th position.

The Laser European Championship 2010 off Tallinn will end on June 11.
