Grand Prix de l´Ecole Navale, from 4 to 7 May 2016

The National French Navy and the Naval Academy, which both have a long tradition related to the world of sailing, have been organizing the Grand Prix de l´Ecole Navale for 15 years. Every year in May, this regatta brings together the biggest fleet of monotype boats on Crozon waters and in the bay of Brest.

As a major sailing event, it became in 2009 part of the French Monotype Championship. With over 190 registered boats and 900 crew members, the organizers have already met the challenge. The Diam 24 fleet will race alongside other monotype boats such as J80, Open 5.70, Longtze and Seascape 18.

As partner of the Grand Prix de l´Ecole Navale, Marinepool will be represented ashore in the race village by the organization and by its long-term partner the French Sailing Federation. At sea, Diam 24 crews will race under the Marinepool flag : Fondation FDJ - Des Pieds et des mains skippered by Damien Seguin ; Team Vannes Agglo skippered by Matthieu Salomon and at least, Cheminées Poujoulat skippered by Bernard Stamm.
