Marinepool, official supplier of the ArMen Race

The ArMen Race has been attracting more and more registered crews since its first edition in 2010. After gathering 130 boats last year, almost 160 boats will be at the start line of the race which will be held from 29th May to 1st June in La Trinité-sur-Mer. As qualifying race for the Rolex Fastnet, this non-stop crew or double-handed race will bring together diverse and ambitious teams. Like other major ocean races, the ArMen Race invites the most impressive sailing boats : MOD 70, Multi 50, Multi 30, IMOCA, Class 40, Mini 6.50 as well as IRC and HN.

A tactical course from 300 up to 450 miles will be adapted to the different boat classes according to the weather. Unique sailing event on the Atlantic coast, the ArMen Race is the only race format that can offer to non professionals the opportunity to race against the best offshore sailors. From la Trinité-sur-Mer, the fleet will have to turn a buoy near the legendary ArMen lighthouse in the bay of Audierne, then sail down to Yeu island before returning towards la Trinité-sur-Mer in the bay of Quiberon. All boats should be back on Sunday morning for the prize giving ceremony.

Marinepool is pleased to go into partnership with this competition gaining a growing reputation. Marinepool will equip the organizers and the volunteers and will offer for sale many of its products in the event boutique shared with its local retailer Uship. The winners will also receive Marinepool gifts at the prize giving ceremony.
