July 10 2010
The last day of the 49er Europeans was a real nail-biter and eventually tremendously successful for the Marinepool Racing Team!
With the Silver medal and a fourth place in the final rankings the team could fulfill the high expectations!
But it was not the Austrian Team of Delle Karth/Resch, who were are times leading the series and who went into the decisive Medal Race in 3rd, but the French crew Dyen/Christidis who were celebrating the Silver medal eventually.
The 2-fold World Cup winners of 2010 showed a cool and excellent performance in the final showdown and could - thanks to double points - overtake the British team of Morrison/Rhodes who won Bronze. < ;a href="http://www.marinepool.de/sponsoring/segeln-olympicclasses-49er-dellekarth.de.html" target="_blank">Delle Karth/Resch finished 4th and were naturally disappointed. They will now focus on the World Cup which they lead before the last event in Weymouth, GBR.
Brits Draper/Greenhalgh showed an extraordinary performance over the whole week and were crowned World Champions 2010.
Congratulations to our "silver" Marinepool Racing Team Dyen/Christidis (FRA) and the Nickos for their superb 4th!
