Heiko Kroger 1st and Damien Seguin 3rd at the 2.4 World Championship
The 2.4 World Championship, onboard the paralympic keelboat, has just ended in Halifax (Canada) with the victory of the German sailor Heiko Kroger (Sailing Team Germany) while Damien Seguin finished 3rd and qualifies France for the Paralympics in Rio. Sunday morning, Damien was ahead but the only leg competed that day - with few wind - has been in favour of his closest competitors. "I did a good start but they all overtook me. It was really tight", has declared Damien.
If he is disappointed, Damien is satisfied to have reached the 3rd place whereas he has been mainly focused this year on his solo program with the most famous transatlantic race in November, the Route du Rhum.
Marinepool supports Heiko Kroger from the Sailing Team Germany as well as Damien Seguin part of the French Paralympic Team.
