Since the beginning of the week, a strong wind coming from the west did not spare the competitors of the French Olympic Week in Hyeres. They sailed today in varying wind and sea conditions as soon as they left the harbor entrance. In other words, all series didn´t get the opportunity to access the playground.
In the 2.4 class, a single-seater boat which tends to sink like a submarine as soon as the waves are growing, Damien Seguin has once again dominated the competition. Helena Lucas and Megan Pascoe from England, who were described as “aircraft” earlier this week, are now struggling to follow Damien. He won the 3 legs yesterday and seems to be on his way to reach a seventh victory!
Tomorrow, the Finn, Star, Laser, 49er and other dinghies will guarantee another great show in the middle of the bay of Hyères. For the last day, only the 10 best sailors for each boat class will be invited to compete.
