The 13th edition of the Grand Prix Guyader has began last Saturday in the bay of Douarnenez. A popular and festive event that invites the M34 class, monotypes like Open 7.50, Longtze and Mach 6.5, and about fifty dragon boats that made of the Grand Prix Guyader a world reference in their circuit.
Second leg of the Volvo DRIVe Race after the Spi Ouest France, the race is an opportunity for the M34 fleet to fight on the water as a prelude to the Tour de France à la Voile. The faithful competitors, supported by Marinepool, such as Courrier Dunkerque (skippered by Daniel Souben), Nantes St Nazaire (skippered by Corentin Douguet) and Omani BAE Sytems (skippered by Cédric Pouligny) made ??the trip to attend the race until May 1st. However, due to inclement weather with gusts and rough sea, the competitors are deprived of racing today.
