Marinepool, the German brand specialized in sailing technical clothing and maritime fashion, has become the official supplier of the Tour de France à la Voile. This classic crew race is now run by Amaury Sport Organization, a leading expert in sport events which has already the Tour de France (cycling) and the Dakar rally among its references. Marinepool will integrate this dynamic network with a strong determination to become a longtime and active partner.
Onboard the one design boat M34, more than fifteen sailing teams will sett off from Dunkerque on June 29th to begin a tour along the Channel and the Atlantic, heading to la Seyne-sur-Mer on the Mediterranean coast, final destination after 1 month of racing and 8 stopovers.
The brand is already well represented on the M34 circuit, dominated by professional sailors who all have an outstanding list of winners and a strong experience of the competition. Courrier Dunkerque, Nantes St Nazaire, the Omani of BAE Systems, the Germans of Iskareen and finally Solidaires en Peloton are already wearing Marinepool colors on every M34 competition. Because the technical clothing undoubtedly plays a key role in reaching performance, it also provides the guarantee of high quality products tested by those who evolve in the demanding environment of offshore racing. Marinepool also offers a wide range of sportwear and fashion clothing, true to the quality and design that have made Marinepool famous in more than 40 countries.
"We are pleased to take part in this ambitious project. There is no doubt that the new organisation will put new life into this major sailing event in France.” explains Oli Deligans, Sales Director France. "The development of Marinepool is based on a partnership strategy only considered in the long term, like for the Régates Royales in Cannes and the French Sailing Federation we support for several years now. The brand will be visible not only on the water but also ashore as we will dress the organisers. We also want to take up the challenge to promote this beautiful race far beyond the French borders by working hand in hand with this new team and our international network."
