Grand Prix de l´Ecole Navale: monotypes first!
The 10th edition of the Grand Prix de l´Ecole Navale will take place from 17 to 20 May 2012 on Crozon Morgat waters and in the bay of Brest, Brittany. This event, organized by the French Navy and the Naval Academy who have always had a long tradition history related to the world of sailing, has found its place on the calendar of major sailing races in France. Three years ago, it became part of the French Championship for Monotypes with a cabin.
With over 190 registered boats and 900 crew members this year - a constantly growing number -, the organizers have already met the challenge. The M34 will be racing for the second consecutive year alongside 11 other monotype boats such as J80, Open 5.70, Longtze and Seascape 18.
Besides traditional inshore races in front of 4000 expected visitors, an offshore race of 40 nautical miles has been added to the program on Saturday.
As partner of the Grand Prix de l´Ecole Navale, Marinepool will be represented ashore on the French Sailing Federation´s stand. On the water, the M34 crews Courrier Dunkerque, Nantes St Nazaire and Iskareen, all supported by Marinepool, will be wearing the colors of the brand.
