The renowned Régates Royales was sailed for the first time in 1929 in Cannes and has been a great success from the first edition. Ever since it has been a meet ing point for the world´s best sailors and finest yachts who gather every year at the French riviera to represent their sport.
The highlight of the Régates Royales is for sure the regatta of classic yachts, meticulously maintained and renovated, unmatched in beauty and grace. But it includes also one of the most important Dragon class races in the regatta calendar. In the 2009 edition 80 Dragon teams from 15 nations gave spectators an example how beautiful sailing can be.
